Mission Statement and Leadership Team

Our Mission

Danville Safety Advocates is committed to improving safety for everyone who walks, rolls, rides, drives, and moves throughout Danville.

Our mission is to protect the most vulnerable members of our community first, including pedestrians, children, seniors, people with disabilities, wheelchair users, people using walkers or canes, parents pushing strollers, dog walkers, bicyclists, and responsible e-bike riders.

We advocate for safer streets, sidewalks, park paths, trails, schools, neighborhoods, and public spaces through better infrastructure, public awareness, education, responsible enforcement, and practical long-term safety solutions.

Our goal is to make Danville safer, more accessible, and more welcoming for people of all ages and abilities.

Leadership Team

Danville Safety Advocates is led by residents, safety advocates, bicyclists, parents, veterans, retired professionals, legal advisors, students, and community volunteers who share a common goal: a safer Danville for everyone.

We are not anti-bike or anti-e-bike. We support responsible bicycling and responsible e-bike use. We also believe sidewalks, park paths, trails, school zones, neighborhoods, and public spaces must protect vulnerable users first.
